Otherwise, you may find yourself working through phonetics and custom spellings in your text input to get the timbre, emphasis and flow correct.

@JasonYadlovski, I understand sponsorships and promoting their new features, but the voice AI is one I absolutely abhor. Why, you might ask? Well, this is UA-cam. People on this platform are creating videos for UA-cam, not a Hollyweird production. The level of overly-produced videos on YT nowadays is ridiculous. All of the "more cinematic" this, 24fps that, bokeh background, anamorphic lens flares, blah, blah, blah, is overly unnecessary for UA-cam. And now, we're being over-saturated with all of the AI BS. I, for one, am not looking for, nor expecting a YT video to be on the same level as a Hollyweird production. I much prefer to hear the creators voice, good, bad or indifferent. Videos that are over-produced I click off. If you're a professional video production person or business, then professional voice-overs are fine, but for any work I do that requires a voice-over, I will use an actual, live, voice-over, artist, if I choose to not do the V.O. myself. I will gladly pay them for their work, and keep them employed as opposed to paying another company their monthly extortion $$ to use their product. I refuse to use ANY company that requires a monthly extortion fee to use their product. I like channels like yours and @CaseyFaris, @JorisHerman, @DanielBatal, @DarrenMostyn, @MrAlexTech, and others, because they are simple, straight-to-the-point channels that offer good information without all of the BS, and I really hope they stay that way!?

Jason am I missing something here? So many UA-camrs who I respected are pushing this as new and saying how wonderful it is but AI voice overs have been around for a long time in fact years and this like the rest still sounds like an AI voice. Simon Says was one of the first and I tried that out many years ago. The problem with all of them is there is no real inflection (which humans do naturally when speaking) in the voices and this has always been the problem. To therefore get it sounding anywhere acceptable you need to spend a long time putting in spaces and commas etc. Surely as someone who loves sound do not really think this is good?

I commented and left a better option for the viewers but it got deleted. I'm guessing because it had a link. That's too bad.

I found a quirk with voice isolation. Not sure if it existed in previous versions. I'm currently using the Public Beta v19.4. Anyway, what I found is on some audio clips the voice isolation switch was not appearing. I found that if I went into attributes for the clip, change whatever multichannel format it is on (stereo-5.1 whatever) to mono, change the focus so inspector is looking at any other clip and then back, the isolation switch becomes available. Once it is enabled and set up the way you like it, you can go back into attributes and change the audio format back to whatever it was.

I think that's pretty good :)

Thank you this saved me! Audio file was gone for one song on a live set, but still had the lovely video from the concert. Instead of wasting it, I am retiming it to another audio recording. This is my saving grace!

Number 5 worked for me. Had my speakers at 192,000hz then set to 48,000hz and worked instantly. Shoots thanks man.

What if we have multiple frame rates in a single story for example a short film, where it has normal dialogue scenes 24 fps and as well as fast action phase scene for slowmo at 60 fps. How can i edit this in single time line ? There is no answers for in youtube. Everyone just fps differences only.

OK, I'll start with I'm a fan (Subscriber). I'm not good at audio editing though I'm trying to improve. The first five tabs I checked to open this video were half watched videos of you where I was in the middle of watching various videos of you going over the finer points of the art of audio editing. I got a 32 bit float "Mic"s and tested them (I did a terrible job on my test and I'm eager to see what you come up with). However, in real-world public forum recording (think public meetings where you don't get to mic the speakers) I found that it dramatically improved by the audio over my previous remote "Mic" 1 system (I'd like to say it was mostly the things I learned from your videos but I'm still working through them and it really was the recorders), specifically because of the increased dynamic range of the recording - they are a game changer. I also found (from testing, not real world) that its still possible to saturate the microphone (vis a vie the recording), so there's still some common sense care necessary and the don't solve all problems. Another thing I found that I didn't see covered anywhere yet is that they are only awesome if you know how to edit video, which is why I'm eager to see what you have to say on the topic and why I had all your videos open before I saw this. I'm hoping you cover how to setup for 32 bit recording, how to edit it (especially in DR), tools for "normalization" (broadly) to handle distant voices so they sound legible and "normal", the microphone verses recorder limitations and how to overcome them, how you'd recommend setting the gain on the mic such as the Rode NTG or Deity V-Mic D3 . For instance, it seems to me like there's no need for a pad now. Does it make sense to set a low pass cutoff or noise reduction with 32 bit float? (I assume no).

Wow that was much simpler than I expected. Just in case Windows users like me find this one, it's Alt-S to add another node like was done here. Had to do a quick search to puzzle that one out!

I downloaded some glitch transitions and instead of .setting files, all they gave me was .mov files. I looked everywhere in the folder and there are no .setting files! I've downloaded titles before and gotten .setting files no problem

If I can make a suggestion… Instead of taking all the ways you can mask some thing… which seems very haphazardly… Pick one of the ways and go into much more detail. Several of these options you seem to skip over very quickly and although I know what’s going on because I know how to do all this… From a beginners point of view you would lose them very quickly.

Good reinforcement for me. Magic mask is great but can easily lose it's track even on still images. Bernd from VFXStudy advises to lock the magic mask node in fusion before moving on. There is a little padlock symbol at the top of the inspector. Works a treat.!!!
